Coombs is hiring!

As of 3/4/25, we are still accepting applications for Activate and Engage summer instructors, as well as the Engage Program Manager position. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis. We anticipate positions will be filled by April 1.

Activate Day Camp Instructor:

Activate Summer Instructors work in pairs and with the Program Manager to plan and lead outdoor activities for groups of 12 elementary school participants. Activities include hiking in Grand Teton National Park, paddle boarding, swimming, rafting, working with local partners, and more!

Engage Program Manager:

Coombs is hiring a full-time, year round Program Manger! The Engage Program Manager develops and manages the Engage program at Coombs Outdoors, which provides middle and high school participants with year-round opportunities to build a sense of community and belonging through a range of outdoor recreational activities. The Engage program provides activities for more than 200 6th-12th graders during summer camps and clubs, winter ski programs, afterschool and school break activities, and more.

Engage Trip Leader:

Engage Instructors lead backpacking-based youth programs for local kids in the public lands surrounding Jackson, WY. Instructors co-lead 10-12 middle and high school participants on 2-8 night trips, which will include backpacking, car camping, boating, and other outdoor activities. Some weeks, Engage instructors may co-lead specialized day camps which will include mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, climbing and swimming.
